We're never ones to do things quietly, so we couldn't leave without having some sort of get-together with our local friends. We decided to have a picnic at our village hall, with a Western/USA theme, so the costumes and the cowboy hats came out. We had a fantastic afternoon catching up with everyone, a few of whom we don't get to see very often, but most we see almost every day. Although missing a few faces, the people who mean the most to us, and who make Marshfield a special place to live, were there. We played baseball and football, and the kids enjoyed the playgrounds and messing around on the fields together. To top if all off, the weather was glorious.

| We managed to get a photo of (almost) all of us, one for a frame I think! |
We were also
surprised and overwhelmed with the wonderful leaving gifts and cards we
received. Photographs of the Lads & Dad's camping and some classic
Welsh souvenirs will be treasured, whilst we're looking forward to dining at Denny's or cooking ourselves
a proper curry. Thank you all, you know who you are!
One special thank
you has to go to a very talented friend who made us the most amazing
teddy bear from Alice, David & Evan's old school uniform. Our
perfect bear is especially poignant as they won't have to wear uniform
at their new schools in Texas, check him out...
