We made it!

DFW airport was horrendous. We queued for two hours to get through customs. The last time we came through DFW it took an hour, but herding people with connecting flights to the front of the queue or otherwise they would miss their flight, didn't help. When we finally got to the front of the queue, the customs officer told Rob we needed an extra document in order to get into the country. Rob used his visa for the first time and showed all his paperwork on his last trip out to Fort Worth in July, and he had been told that he had now shown all the required documents. According to this intimidating customs officer, there is a form he needs to show every time he enters the country. After taking finger prints, much tapping on the computer and warnings to bring said paperwork on all future trips, we were let through to our relief. The luggage hall was no better, bags were in piles on the floor where people had waited so long to clear customs. In the meantime Rob had been called by the pet relocation agent who told us that Bess had already cleared customs and was waiting to be delivered. We ended up rushing out of the airport and jumping in cabs in order to get home in time so she wouldn't have to be kenneled for another night. Anyway, we made it.

We have arrived.

And the lovely Barbie brings Bess too.
